Groin Pain Intensified During
Monthly Period I have been getting Prolotherapy to the iliolumbar and sacroiliac ligaments for buttock and right side groin pain, for about a year and a half now, every 6 weeks, sometimes longer. I still have groin pain, but it is better than it used to be. It seems to get a lot worse the week before I start my periods. During this week, I'll get burning pain on side of pubic bone. It gets so sore I can barely walk, have to take baby steps! Is there a ligament or tendon near the pubic bone that could be responsible for this pain? If so, can this area be injected? Is it very painful or dangerous? Also, if there is a hormone responsible for this, does this mean doing Prolo isn't going to help no matter what? A. Prolotherapy to the pubic area may be recommended after examination. If your pain is worse with your period, you need your hormones checked on the day that the symptoms are the worse. Dietary, supplement and possibly hormone supplementation may be needed. In other words you need come natural medicine along with the Prolotherapy.
